I had Curtis install a power outlet for a TV wallmount. Didn’t seem too difficult when the painter and I tried, but I live in a house that was built in 1956, and the wiring is as old as me. Before Curtis arrived the painter and I had done damage to all the power in the room, put two ceiling fans out of commission, and left a light switch that we felt would never work again. This from the touching of two rouge wires. In less than an hour after Curtis’ arrival all the power in the room was back and running, the TV had a new power source in the wall, and I was living the good life under a cool breeze from my fans. Besides the knowledge he has of electrical technology, his understanding of mid century wiring was the blessing for me.
